Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) appeared on CBS on Monday. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert There she touted President Joe Biden’s latest student loan relief package, which is expected to shift billions of dollars in student loans to American taxpayers.
During her appearance, AOC said one of the benefits of Biden’s plan is that it would allow recipients to “travel internationally.”
The prospect of free vacations courtesy of taxpayers was enthusiastically welcomed by CBS viewers. As AOC promoted President Biden, Stephen Colbert also took center stage, joining in on her outpouring of enthusiasm for Biden’s massive relief plan.
“Thirty million student loan borrowers will begin to receive relief,” she said, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience. When Colbert asked if she would benefit from this plan, AOC replied, “If I was a waitress five years ago, I would have benefited from it.”
She went on to say that the relief package would provide “hope that you might be able to buy a home, have a child, travel abroad or even go back to school.”

Mr. Colbert did not oppose Mr. Biden’s plan to impose another large federal relief package on American taxpayers.
As Breitbart News reported, Biden’s plan is widely seen as a desperate ploy to lure young voters who have become increasingly alienated from the Biden administration, particularly over the Israel-Hamas war.
Many have vowed not to participate in November’s election, which could be disastrous for Democrats.
