‘Red button’ at the ready? Venezuelan gangs are waging war inside America

When we think of war, we often think of tanks, planes, and bombs. But today's most dangerous threats don't always come with a bang. Instead, they hide in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to attack. Experts call this “asymmetric warfare.” In this warfare, enemies attack from the periphery using unpredictable, low-tech methods designed to evade traditional defenses.

Asymmetric warfare is not just a foreign problem. It's happening on American soil, fueled by the Biden administration's failures at the southern border. Through open border policies, governments have allowed “red button” threats to form within their borders, whether intentionally or not. This ability may lie dormant for years, waiting for the right moment. The Washington Post recently referred to Israeli pager attacks on Hezbollah as “red button” attacks. Hezbollah did not realize they were pocketing a threat until it was too late. What potential threats do we face on our land?

Our enemies use our own systems and laws to exploit our weaknesses.

The Venezuelan gang Torren de Aragua is one of the most alarming threats we face and serves as the key to our Red Button. It has taken advantage of the Biden-Harris border crisis to infiltrate the United States and cause chaos across the country. From the violent seizure of an apartment in Aurora, Colorado, to the murder of Laken Riley in Georgia, to the assault on a New York City police officer, Torren de Aragua is building a hidden criminal empire in immigrant shelters across the United States.

This gang is more than just a criminal network, it collaborates with the Venezuelan government. Insight Crime argues that Torren de Aragua is an integral part of Venezuela's “hybrid system of governance,” in which, like extremist civilian groups that suppress political opposition, the organization also works to control the will of Maduro's government. It is reported that it is an organization that enforces the following. Its activities extend beyond common crimes, such as accusations of political assassination, and have now shifted its focus to the United States.

According to US military leaks, Torren de Aragua launched attacks on US military facilities, including surveillance of bases such as Lackland Air Force Base and Fort Sam Houston in Texas. These incidents are similar to probing attacks, testing your defenses, identifying weaknesses, and preparing for something more dangerous. This gang also works with Cuban nationals in the Permian Basin, America's largest oil field. Its targets go beyond military installations and focus on America's economic lifeline.

The extent of this network is even more alarming. A leak obtained by James O'Keefe reveals detailed maps showing Torren de Aragua operating in cities and states across the country. It is not limited to border towns. Its presence has spread throughout the country. This is a “red button” waiting to be pressed and it is only a matter of time before it is fully activated.

According to reports, Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently designated Torren de Aragua as a terrorist organization. U.S. military leaks confirmed the gang's ties to groups such as Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and other international terrorist networks. This connection makes Torren de Aragua more than just a criminal group. It's part of a broader, well-organized network that includes some of the world's most dangerous people. These relationships, particularly those between Iran, Venezuela, and their proxies (such as Hezbollah), have moved from criminal activity within the United States to urban terrorism, further justifying this designation.

For the past four years, the southern border has become a revolving door for migrants from Central and South America, many coming from countries under the control of hostile regimes. Did Biden and Harris open the border and amplify this threat, giving their adversaries an opportunity to strike first? Whether intentionally or not, their regimes have allowed hostile regimes to infiltrate their borders and build criminal networks ready to attack. It appears that what we have seen so far is just a “trial”.

This is not just a policy failure, but an asymmetric war against the United States. Our enemies use our own systems and laws to exploit our weaknesses. If we don't act now, the consequences could be catastrophic. And Donald Trump aims to prevent that. He recently proposed mass deportations as a solution to the escalating border crisis, starting with criminal gangs like Torren de Aragua. Mr. Trump's plan will help us regain control of our borders and root out enemies in our communities, making it a national security imperative.

In a world where wars are no longer fought only on the battlefield, we must recognize that the enemy is already within our borders. The Biden administration's failure to secure our southern border has put all Americans at risk, and the “red button” has been massed on our soil, waiting to be triggered against American citizens. It must be dismantled before it is too late.
