Good news, Eagles fans.
Former NFL star receiver Chad Johnson believes teams that make it to the finish line ahead of the NFL playoffs are “playing possum.”
The Eagles lost five of their final six games, including back-to-back losses to the Cardinals and Giants to end the season.
“I'm excited to be going to Philadelphia,” Johnson said in a video posted to X on Monday afternoon, in which he hinted that he planned to fly from Miami to Philadelphia.
“I hope it snows too. I know Eagles fans are upset, but I think they'll figure things out. I think the Eagles players are playing possum. I know what they're doing, they're letting their bodies reset, they're mentally resetting, and they're trying to figure out what's going to happen come playoff time, what's going to happen next week, and what I'm going to say. Look. There's no lies. Before I lie to you, I like you. Look what they do. I knew it, and I know their game. I know what they’re doing.”
If that was the Eagles' plan, they're executing it perfectly.
The defending NFC champions have been among the worst teams in the NFL for the past two weeks.
After a 35-31 home loss to the Cardinals in Week 17, the Eagles won 449-275.
In the final game of the season against the Giants, their dominant rival for the past few seasons, the Eagles were trailing from the start, even though they still had a slim chance of winning the NFC East title.
The Giants led 24-0 at halftime, but the Eagles started pulling starters, but a 27-10 final was no indication of how one-sided the game was.
So how does Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler with the Bengals, view the Eagles?
Well, they are the defending NFC Champions and relatively healthy with AJ Brown seemingly avoiding the potentially catastrophic knee injury he suffered against the Giants.
Jalen Hurts remains one of the top young quarterbacks in the game.
The team had back-to-back wins over the Cowboys, Chiefs, and Bills, improving to 10-1 before the season got off the ground.
And as the No. 5 seed, they will face the NFC South champion Buccaneers, who barely made it out of the worst division in football and upset the NFL's worst-ranked Panthers 9-0 in Week 18 to clinch the championship. .
Still, Philadelphia is in complete panic.

“The last six games have been terrible,” Eagles center Jason Kelce said after the loss to the Giants. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia.
“All you can do is look in the mirror and get back to work. I know people are tired of hearing that. The only thing you can do is go back to work and have an honest conversation. That’s it.”
