Reform UK Leader Tice Calls for ‘Complete Realignment” of the Right

With the Conservative party facing a likely devastating election blow, a “complete realignment” of the right is needed to fix Britain’s political landscape, Reform Party chairman Richard Tice said on Tuesday.

Speaking about the future on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Mr Tice said there was “a complete realignment of the right of politics” and that the Conservative party should not be “punished” for its sole “failure” on the Fourth of July.

Labour will win this election, but the Conservative desperation has created a culture of fear and people are fed up.

You can’t reward failure. People are calling for a new approach, a common sense approach. That’s what we’re advocating for, and that’s why we’re going to surprise everyone with millions of votes on Friday morning.

Presenter Nick Robinson began the show by declaring that Nigel Farage’s hopes of leading a “rebellion” against the old parties could be dashed if voters become “weary with the extremist views of an ever-growing number of Reform UK candidates”.

Mr Tice said such views repeated “total nonsense” about the party and that the political system was under threat. “I have to say that in the areas where I campaign, support is absolutely more solid than I’ve ever experienced,” he countered.

“People don’t believe this complete nonsense that’s going on.”

Tice’s comments came two days after Farage told a Reform UK supporters rally that the party was “doing better than anyone in the media or in politics could ever imagine in their worst nightmares,” according to a report by Breitbart London.

Meanwhile, opinion polls suggest Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s Conservative party will face full punishment in the election for failing to deliver on promises it made during its 14 years in power.
