Regular People Are Saying ‘Enough Is Enough’

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) said the public is saying “enough is enough” after a Manhattan jury convicted former President Donald Trump on all 34 charges in his business records trial. Breitbart News Saturday.

Vance explained that Democrats’ recent efforts to target Trump are likely to backfire because they have opened the eyes of ordinary Americans across the country, especially those who don’t pay much attention to politics.

“It’s personal, but I know a lot of people have their own stories and how much they love this country,” he said, recounting his family’s military service and history with the U.S. Marine Corps.

“As I’m sure many of your listeners do, we come from a military family that served in the Vietnam War, the Korean War and World War II. Our family and we did not fight for the country we love so Joe Biden could send his biggest political opponent to prison,” Vance explained.

“But the whole idea of America as a country is, yes, we have fierce arguments at times. We fight with each other, we argue with each other, but at the end of the day, we’re trying to persuade the American voter. We’re not going to send our rivals to jail. … That’s a banana republic. And that’s why we’re going to war to make sure that we don’t become exactly what Joe Biden is trying to do to this country,” Vance said.

“I agree with you. I think a lot of regular, everyday people don’t pay as much attention to politics as you and I do. They’re saying enough is enough. We can’t take it anymore. This is insanity. We’re going to fight back,” the senator continued, highlighting the significance of the donations Trump received within 24 hours of news of his conviction.

listen:

“I’ve only run for political office once in my life, and $53 million for a presidential election is enough for a month. They raised that amount in a day from small amounts of money. Matt, if you dig into the data, it’s even better. I believe about a third of the donors are complete beginners… For whatever reason, they were driven by false prosecutions. And they’re new to the political process as donors,” he said, describing it as a “huge amount.”
