Rep. Beth Van Duyne Discusses Congress's Efforts to Tackle Affordability

Representative Beth Van Dine from Texas discussed on a television program how Congress is working to tackle the affordability crisis in the U.S.

When host Mike Slater inquired about Congressional efforts, she highlighted a significant bill that was enacted earlier this year.

“I think this is a game-changer. It includes initiatives like accounts for newborns that will help them save once they reach 18. We’re also exploring the 199A pass-through and fostering research and development. We aim to support innovation in this country,” she explained, calling the legislation a “huge deal.”

“The impact of the Biden administration has been considerable. It’s crucial to reverse the course set by them, especially after they introduced $1.7 trillion in new regulations. Part of this bill’s purpose is to empower American energy producers and create a competitive environment for small businesses,” she stated.

“The objective of this bill is to stimulate the economy, promote growth, allow businesses to invest, and enable job creation, all while freeing them from excessive government interference,” she noted. “Over-regulation and high taxes hinder this, and unfortunately, we’ve seen a significant increase in regulations during Biden’s tenure,” she added.

“What we’ve observed in recent months indicates that economic growth is possible. This past quarter, we saw a nearly 4 percent growth rate, which is substantial compared to the previous four years. It’s also about attracting foreign investment into our markets. The trade deals that Trump has facilitated have significantly aided American businesses by prioritizing domestic products,” the Congresswoman mentioned.

“All of this is vital for fostering economic advancement,” she concluded.
