Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has called on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate Actblue, the Democratic National Committee's donor platform, over “suspecting donations.”
In a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, Biggs said the Treasury Department under former President Joe Biden has “discovered hundreds of suspicious transactions with Actblue reported by the bank.” According to Fox News.
Biggs' letter cited concerns that ActBlue was “used to circumvent the integrity of federal government's campaign finance law,” saying that “the US House Committee on Surveillance and Government Reform are investigating these allegations of fraud.”
In his letter, Biggs also pointed out that nearly 20 “state attorney generals” had “inquiries to ActBlue” regarding allegations of fraud, money laundering and “false use of credit and debit cards.”
In a statement to the outlet, Biggs described the “claims against Act Blue” as “surprising,” adding that if they were true, it “threatening the integrity of our Republic.”
“The allegations against Actblue are astounding and, if true, threaten the integrity of our Republic,” Biggs said in a statement to the outlet. “We are grateful for what Work Director Patel is doing to restore our judicial system and look forward to working with him to uncover the truth about Act Blue.”
Breitbart News previously reported that in an interview with Oann's Andrew Giuliani, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) allegedly claimed that the Biden administration had covered up “hundreds” of suspicious activity reports.
“We requested that the Treasury be checked during the Biden administration to see if there were any bank violations called suspicious activity reports against ActBlue. Of course, they never returned with us.” “Finally after the election they made sure there were some. They allowed my staff to come in and watch like 10 or 12 years old, and they were really awful, but I can say there are hundreds more with confidence and now we can go there and see them.”
New York Times It has been reported At the beginning of March, ActBlue resigned “at least seven senior officials” as the donation platform was “under investigation by Congressional Republicans.”
In response to the “Exodus” of Actblue's senior officials, “two unions representing the group's workers have sent a letter to Actblue's board of directors.” The union added that the “surprising pattern” of people leaving has left, “is 'eroding' confidence in the organization's stability,” according to the outlet.
