Rep. Chip Roy Targets Eradication of Final Federal Vaccine Mandate

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) has his sights set on what he calls “the last federal mandate.”

A Texas lawmaker introduced a bill Thursday that would repeal a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) mandate requiring coronavirus vaccinations for Veterans Health Administration health care workers.

“The federal government should never have forced an experimental vaccine on the American people, especially after learning that the vaccine was not effective in preventing the spread of coronavirus,” Roy said in a statement to Breitbart News. said. “These mandates forced people to choose between making their own health care decisions and making a living. It was and remains unjust and un-American to do so.”

“The Department of Veterans Affairs vaccine policy is our last mandate from the federal government. Now is the time to repeal it and end it all for good.”

Mandatory vaccinations, mask-wearing and other supposed precautions against the coronavirus have become increasingly unpopular due to questions about their effectiveness and constitutionality. Republicans in Congress are largely united in their opposition to vaccine mandates and are using spending bills and authorizations to force the Biden administration to roll back most of the previous mandates.

Biden continued to advocate for continued vaccinations and asked Congress for more funding for vaccine research and production.

Republicans succeeded in forcing the administration to cancel the mission under the National Defense Authorization Act of 2023. However, affected veterans continue to fight for compensation for lost time and pay.

Roy is a leader in Washington fighting against vaccine mandates. He introduced legislation at the beginning of Congress to reinstate soldiers discharged from the military and protect unvaccinated soldiers, cadets and cadets from punishment under the Biden administration's military coronavirus vaccination mandate. did. He also warned that vaccine mandates would have a negative impact on military recruiting efforts and readiness.

With the passage of Roy's latest bill, the federal government could take another important step toward closing a chapter it would like to forget, but bureaucrats within the government are willing to take on additional duties if given the opportunity. I will proceed.

Co-sponsors of Roy's bill include Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT), Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), and Rep. Michael Cloud (R-PA). -Texas), Rep. Mary Miller (R-Ill.), and Rep. Bob Good (R-Texas). -VA), Andy Ogles (R-TN), John Rutherford (R-FL), Dan Bishop (R-NC), Ronnie Jackson (R-TX), Andrew Clyde (R- Mike Collins (R-GA)), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), and Eric Burleson (R-MO).
