Rep. Clay Higgins says bureaucracies “cannibalizing our nation”

As the Trump administration moves to cut thousands of government jobs, Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) issued a message to federal workers facing unemployment, saying that bureaucrats “cannibalize” the country. He expressed his sympathy for their situation, claiming that he was doing so.

Higgins, who has served in the House of Representatives since 2017, declared that federal workers' work is less important than other American private sector jobs.

“I'm a caring man. I know loss and struggle, I understand financial difficulties, I know it will face eviction, I know hunger I've overcome despair,” Higgins said in X's post.

The lawmakers' message comes as the Trump administration is trying to cut down the size of federal officials.
