Freshman Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) claims she has no regrets about trying to publicly humiliate “dull” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) during a televised hearing last month.
She told Jimmy Kimmel that the criticism, during a House Oversight Committee hearing, was a response to MTG’s comments about Crockett’s “fake eyelashes,” and that her opponent was “a little slow” and needed to be addressed.
“Can you tell me what caused this?” Kimmel pressed the Texas Democrat. “Was there something that triggered this that we weren’t aware of?”

“No, Marjorie’s just a little slow,” Crockett said. “What most people don’t know is that the hearing was supposed to start at 11 a.m. that day and didn’t start until 8 p.m.”
The reason for the delay? MTG and several of her Republican colleagues were present at Donald Trump’s business records trial in Manhattan.
“So we had to wait for them to come back,” Crockett explained. “And the hearing was [Attorney General]Right? We were supposed to be talking about Attorney General Merrick Garland, and she started talking about Judge Marchan. It pisses me off because it’s late at night, I’ve been here all day, I’m ready to work, and she’s still talking about that failed trial.
“So I had to ask her if she understood, because she’s not very smart.”

When Kimmel said, “It seems like it’s not just Democrats who hate her,” Crockett quickly argued, “Her supporters hate her too.”
When the host asked Crockett if he thought MTG was “the dumbest person in the House of Representatives”, Crockett retorted: “You’d be hard pressed to find a dumber person than me.”
