Crockett the rocket is back, and her nails and opinions are longer and sharper than ever. But are Democrats ever going to wake up to the damage she might be doing to their party?
During a Friday appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett made several astute remarks about the United States and the federal government, all while revealing that she actually hates the country she serves. It was a train wreck of an interview but a glistening goldmine for GOP ad cutters. (Subscribe to MR. RIGHT, a weekly newsletter about modern masculinity)
First, Crockett, cynically or ignorantly (but probably the latter), straight up claimed that there isn’t a lot of fraud and waste in the federal government, which is like claiming there isn’t a lot of salt water in the sea.

Crockett also admitted that she loathes the United States because Donald Trump is now president, and is “rooting” for foreign countries.

“The fact that I’m rooting for Canada and I’m rooting for Mexico a lot is really wild, but they are really the ones that are speaking truth to power right now. They can see what it is and they were like, ‘We are not messing with this crazy regime from Mar-a-Lago,’ and basically calling them thugs. That’s what it is,” she told host Charlamagne.
Even for a left-wing lawmaker, this is an incredibly unwise thing to say. As far as I know, the wingers of the Democratic Party may hate America, but they never put it so bluntly. They never come out and say, “Yes, I am a member of Congress. My salary is paid for by you, the taxpayers, yet I actually hate this country, I hope it fails, and the countries to the north and south of us succeed instead.”
To add insult to injury, Crockett took a cheap shot at Republican voters, claiming they are “less educated” than Democrats.

At one point do Democratic leaders sit Crockett down in a room and tell her that the unhinged, self-promotion campaign needs to come to an end? At one point will they put her in a Hannibal Lecter-style straight jacket to keep her from saying absurd things that are as politically toxic as they are hilarious? Hopefully never.
