Concerns Over Safety and Immigration Policies
A young woman heads out for a run. A child walks to the store. A mother leaves for work. They should all return home. But in many cases, that doesn’t happen.
When someone commits a violent act in our country illegally, it’s only natural for Americans to ask a few critical questions. Take a look at the numbers—just in one year, hundreds of illegal immigrants were convicted of serious crimes like assault, domestic violence, and weapon offenses. Over 1,700 people were caught drunk driving. Week after week, we see headlines about sexual assaults and murders involving illegal immigrants, including many arrests in states like Michigan. These incidents could have been avoided.
These figures aren’t merely statistics; they represent lives.
Take Camilia Williams, a mother of five. She should still be here. Tragically, she isn’t.
Then there’s Jocelyn Nangaray, just 12 years old. She should still be alive. But she isn’t.
And Laken Riley—another life that should have continued, but didn’t.
These aren’t just isolated tragedies; they signify failures—judgment failures, leadership failures, and policy failures.
When Democrats push for open borders, neglect basic security measures, and treat safety as optional, women in America bear the consequences. They endure fear and trauma, and too often, pay with their lives.
It seems Democrats view public safety as something to be compromised. They talk a lot about compassion, but it raises a crucial question: compassion for whom? For an illegal immigrant who drove under the influence? For someone who assaulted a minor? What about the victims? Where’s the empathy for them?
They preach women’s rights, yet simultaneously make it riskier for women to walk alone at night.
Here are the facts: to Democrats, securing the border appears extreme. They also see protecting their daughters as extreme. Removing violent criminals from the streets? You guessed it—also extreme. In reality, it’s common sense. To label anything else as extreme just seems irrational.
Congress is likely to vote again soon on funding for Homeland Security. Democrats have rejected it multiple times, turning their backs on victims to side with criminals. It’s as if the far left has taken over and criminals seem to get prioritized over American citizens.
If a person is in this country illegally and has committed a violent crime, the solution is clear—detention and deportation, period. We need to do everything within our power to prevent future headlines, to spare more families from grief, and to protect women from violence. If we’re genuinely serious about this, that means fully funding law enforcement.
It’s time for Washington Democrats to stop the rhetoric and face reality.
Women ought to feel secure riding trains, strolling in parks, jogging in their own neighborhoods—living life without the fear of violence from illegal immigrants. This isn’t a complex issue. Solutions exist: secure the borders, eliminate violent criminals, and support law enforcement.
Enough with the notion that open borders are harmless. Enough with justifying the unjustifiable. It’s critical to uphold the systems that protect Americans.
We must advocate for women, children, and all Americans seeking a safe environment. This isn’t radical; it’s simply common sense.
