Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene files a complaint seeking to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for her “illegal relationship” with a top prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case against former President Trump. submitted.

Greene’s post came after Fulton County Superior Judge Scott McAfee issued a certificate of summary review on Wednesday, allowing Trump and eight co-defendants to request a new trial. appeal of command.

Willis was accused of having an “improper” relationship with Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor he hired to prosecute the case.

Mr. Trump and several co-defendants claimed that Mr. Willis had a romantic relationship with Mr. Wade before he was hired and that Mr. Wade benefited financially from his position in the office.

Both Willis and Wade denied the charges.

Mr. Wade offered his resignation in a letter to Mr. Willis on March 15, saying he was “in the interests of democracy, my dedication to the American people, and to move this case forward as quickly as possible.”

“I will always remember, and I remind you all, that you courageously came forward to investigate and prosecute the allegations that the defendants in this case were involved in a conspiracy to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election. ,” Willis wrote. A letter accepting his resignation.
