Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shares her frustrations, mentions that ‘the base is unhappy’

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia voiced her frustration over several political issues on Sunday, highlighting concerns shared by her constituents. She noted that if she’s unhappy, it likely reflects the sentiments of the Republican base she represents.

Some lawmakers suggested that this discontent could pose challenges for future elections, especially with former President Donald Trump not participating in the upcoming vote.

“I represent the base, and when I’m feeling frustrated, it’s clear they’re not happy either,” Greene stated. “When you’re losing MTG, you’re losing your base, and Trump isn’t voting in the future.”

Greene hosted a town hall meeting in Harris County, Georgia, expressing her dissatisfaction with the current political climate.

Fox News Digital reached out to Greene’s office for comments on her post but did not receive a response before publication.

She also criticized U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts, specifically regarding potential military actions against Iran, questioning the value of engaging in wars for other nations, particularly those equipped with significant military capabilities.

In light of the recent changes in foreign mineral trade policies, Greene reiterated her concerns. The White House had announced a partnership with Ukraine aimed at establishing a fund from royalties and licensing fees generated by Ukrainian natural resource projects.

Ukrainian official Yulia Svyrydenko stated that this fund would be derived only from new licenses, with potential contributions from the U.S. extending beyond financial support to include military assistance.

In an earlier post, Greene raised questions about U.S. involvement in Ukraine, pondering why American taxpayer dollars should go towards mining resources and possibly risking American lives in future conflicts.

She also expressed her grievances regarding the coronavirus pandemic, particularly highlighting her concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine. “I campaigned on accountability for government actions during the pandemic,” she remarked. “Yet, the vaccine, approved by the FDA, comes despite reports of injuries and fatalities affecting millions.”
