Rep. Nancy Mace Aims to Subpoena Bill Gates Following Release of New Epstein Documents

Rep. Nancy Mace Seeks Subpoena for Bill Gates Over Epstein Allegations

Rep. Nancy Mace, a Republican from North Carolina, is pushing to subpoena Bill Gates regarding his ex-wife Melinda’s recent comments about disturbing allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Mace announced her intentions on social media, indicating that she has requested House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to issue this subpoena “immediately.”

In a follow-up message, Mace stated, “We are asking Bill Gates to testify under oath about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein before the Oversight Committee.” She expressed concern about the millions of pages of Epstein-related documents released by the Department of Justice, emphasizing their damning nature. Mace noted that if the allegations were untrue, Gates should have no issue addressing them in front of Congress.

Some of the recently uncovered Epstein files detail a 2013 email suggesting that Gates had contracted a sexually transmitted disease after an encounter with a Russian girl. The email apparently requested antibiotics for him, without informing Melinda. Although it was only sent to Epstein, it seemed to be a memo prepared for Gates’ longtime advisor, Boris Nikolic.

Additionally, a 2017 email highlighted claims that Epstein had threatened to disclose Gates’ alleged affair with Russian bridge player Mila Antonova, particularly following Gates’ reluctance to participate in a charity that Epstein was organizing.

Melinda Gates expressed her disappointment regarding the situation, remarking that both Bill and his associations with Epstein “need to answer for those things.” She mentioned during a podcast that society is undergoing a reckoning, asserting that no girl should experience the circumstances surrounding Epstein.

After 27 years of marriage and raising three children, Bill and Melinda announced their divorce in 2021. Melinda reflected on the emotional toll of revisiting these details, connecting them to memories of a challenging period in their marriage. She stated, “It’s personally hard because it brings back memories of a very, very difficult time in our marriage.” However, she expressed relief at having moved on, stating, “I’m so happy to be away from all the mud.”

In light of the 2013 email allegations, a spokesperson for Gates labeled them “completely absurd and completely false,” arguing that they merely illustrate Epstein’s dissatisfaction with a lacking relationship with Gates.

Uncertainty remains around whether the 2013 email was ever directed to Gates himself.
