Rep Thomas Massie confronts reporter about claims from ex-girlfriend

Controversial Exchange in Kentucky Politics

In a recent incident, Rep. Thomas Massey reacted strongly to questions from a Fox News digital reporter regarding allegations from a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend. During this interaction, he confronted the reporter, questioning his interest in “gay porn” while recording him with his phone.

The controversy began when this woman alleged that Massey offered her money and requested her to sign a non-disclosure agreement related to a wrongful termination case. She also mentioned that shortly after her passing, her husband had boasted about a supposed sexual encounter involving Rep. Lauren Boebert from Colorado.

When the reporter approached Massey seeking a response to these accusations, the Kentucky Republican shifted focus quickly, asking bluntly, “So let me ask you, I heard you like gay porn. Is that true?” It was a peculiar pivot, to say the least.

While the exchange was unfolding, Massey continued to engage reporters with provocative questions even as they attempted to leave. “Are you a real loser?” he inquired at one point, urging them to stay for more back-and-forth.

The initial question had revolved around Cynthia West, the alleged ex-girlfriend, and accusations that Massey had offered $5,000 to Rep. Victoria Spartz to drop a lawsuit. Massey, however, dismissed all the claims as fabrications.

As the discussion turned to Boebert and claims of an alleged relationship shortly after his wife’s death, he again insisted, “That’s all false.” This exchange echoed similar moments earlier in the month when Boebert herself reacted defensively to a question about her relationship with Massey.

“Well, first of all, you!” Boebert exclaimed, clearly frustrated by the media’s interest in the allegations. She added that the prevailing attitudes were rather sexist, dismissing the inquiries as clickbait.

At one point, Massey criticized the motivations behind such questions, asking, “When did you guys become a tabloid? Seriously, dude.” This confrontation occurred just a week before Massie suffered a defeat in the May 19 Republican primary election for a House seat, raising questions about its timing and implications.
