Rep. Tim Burchett on UFOs: ‘Yeah, I think there’s a cover up’

After a secret briefing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), commonly known as UFOs, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) said Wednesday that the U.S. government is intentionally hiding information about these objects from the American public. He suggested that there may be.

“I think there’s a cover-up,” Burchett told Blake Berman on NewsNation’s “The Hill.”

“We’ve spent tens of millions of dollars investigating these things. We have recovery departments, but we’re having departments say they’re not going to release the full report. Everything is being covered up.” Mr Burchett added.

This is not the first time Burchett has accused the Pentagon of withholding information from Congress that proves the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Last summer, after a series of explosive hearings in which several whistleblowers claimed the government was hiding information about ultra-high-tech aircraft of foreign or extraterrestrial origin, Burchett said: . I was demanded to We demand that the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community further investigate these claims.

The Tennessee Republican is part of a bipartisan group of lawmakers that continues to push for more transparency from military officials about what the government knows about unidentified anomalous phenomena, leading an effort launched last fall. . House UAP caucus.

When asked why he suspected a “cover-up,” Burchett pointed out that there could be huge economic and technological benefits if evidence of extraterrestrial life were made public. , argued that the American public would be able to “process” such knowledge.

“Maybe it’s just arrogance. Maybe they don’t think we deserve it,” Burchett said.

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said to senior officials that America really can’t handle this problem. It’s not their place to tell me who or what I can handle. Because we are Americans. We should be able to take that and give it to us,” Burchett continued.
