REPORT: Police Charge Former ‘Family Feud’ Contestant Christopher Crisona With Child Sexual Abuse

Police reportedly arrested former “family feud” contestant Christopher Crison on child sexual abuse charges.

Police have charged another man named Chrysona and Father John Taggart on several felony charges related to alleged abuse of minors at Apostle School in Wilmington, Delaware, TMZ. It has been reported Thursday. Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings said the victim was in seventh and eighth grades at the time the alleged abuse occurred. According to TMZ, charges against Chrysona include illegal sexual contact, illegal intercourse, illegal sexual penetration and continued sexual abuse of children.

“The state's indictment alleges a pattern of serious abuse against the juvenile by two adults in a position of trust,” Jennings said.

“As prosecutors and as parents, these kinds of cases keep us at night, but they give us a purpose,” she told TMZ.

The Attorney General went on to say: “The victims in this case have suffered profound trauma over the years and deserve justice. We are grateful to the police, prosecutors and social workers who are critical of this investigation and are committed to getting justice.”

Jennings said Chrysona was working as an elementary school teacher in Florida at the time of her arrest. She told TMZ that she was a teacher at St. Thomas the Postle School for a year and a half in the mid-1990s, but was later kicked out of the post following student complaints.

Chrysona was a contestant in “Family Feud” during his first season as hosting Steve Harvey's popular game show in 2010.

The Crison Family won money on the show, and Christopher also joined the program's “Fast Money” segment, earning 64 points. The family just fell just below the $20,000 prize money by winning 197 out of the 200 they needed in the round. (Related: The strange answer of contestants roasting “Wheel of Fortune” viewers)

Taggart is 80 years old and Crisona is 57 years old. It is unclear whether he will be released on bonds. No further information has been provided surrounding his arrest.
