Reporter criticizes ESPN cameraman for pushing her during LSU postgame chaos

Media coverage can shift rapidly, much like a game on the field.

After a win against No. 4 Clemson that ended 17-10 for LSU, Cessabusch from Louisiana’s First News took to X to express her frustration with ESPN cameramen during the post-game media frenzy.

“I was just trying to get through to the ESPN camera guy who bumped into me after the game. All he had to do was say something instead of shoving me, especially since I’m, you know, half his size,” she shared. “This industry should be about mutual respect. I work alongside many others at every game I cover.”

In her conversation on X, she noted that there was no distinction between men and women in these settings and emphasized that everyone is there to do their job. Boucher remarked that ESPN crew weren’t part of the scrum at that moment.

“Really, it was just Brian Kelly heading off the field,” she pointed out.

The victory at Memorial Stadium in Clemson marked a significant moment for Kelly, as this was his first season start at 1-0 since taking over the LSU program in 2022, reminiscent of his early days at Notre Dame over a decade ago.

Quarterback Garrett Nasmeyer played a crucial role in the win, completing 28 of 38 passes for a total of 232 yards and scoring one touchdown.

An 8-yard touchdown pass to Trey’dez Green in the final quarter put LSU ahead for the first time in the game. The Tigers’ defense held strong, limiting Clemson to just 151 total yards.

Clemson struggled on the ground as well, accumulating only 31 rushing yards from 20 attempts in a tough season opener.

This victory allowed LSU to take a 4-1 lead in their series against Clemson, including a notable 42-25 win during the 2020 College Football Playoffs National Championship.
