WASHINGTON, DC — Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Rashida Tribe (D-MI) harassed and shouted at Housing and Urban Development (HUD) employees at the agency's headquarters on Monday in requests to meet with the SEC. Scott Turner failed.
Congress women led several other groups of House Democrats and a crowd of government efficiency (DOGE) protesters to force roads within the building. “Hand Reliver“ Letter to Turner, “Requesting answers on efforts to destroy the federal housing program.”
Footage captured by Breitbart News shows that Waters is allowed to enter the building and speak to HUD employees.
HUD Chief of Staff Andrew Hughes repeatedly offered to hand the letter to Turner himself, explaining that he was already at the meeting, but that was not a sufficient answer for Waters and her cohort. Hughes responded to her protest by asking if she wanted to see video President Donald Trump's achievements play on screen in the department's lobby.
Tlaib, Rep. Jonathan Jackson (D-IL), Stephen Horseford (D-NV), and other House Democrats attempted to station the building's security officers and homeland security officers at the front door, saying, “Please ask them! Please!”
Tlaib was furious and cried out to another HUD employee, who said he “is not working for the Americans.”
“No, you don't! She cried out while waving the folder to him. “You don't give shit!”:
In response to Waters' grand outstanding Doge action In Slash Waste funds Sec spokesman within HUD. Turner provided the following statement to Breitbart News:
The department appreciates taking the time to travel to agents, rather than attending legislative companies, when the House is being held. She asks the department about her effective and efficient use of taxpayer dollars, but the department also has the following questions:
Is it true that members of her family benefited from her position as an elected official? This was reported by the LA Times.
Does she agree with the citizens for the responsibility and ethics that she is one of the “most corrupt” members of Congress? Do you think she deserves to win four awards?
Will she be open to leading with the example and allow Doge to ensure that she uses taxpayer dollar liability to serve Californians? If not, what should she have to hide?
After the representatives accepted that they would not “hand over” their letters, they returned outside and held the rally, holding signs of over 100 protesters calling for an end to Doge and Elon Musk's federal involvement.
Speaking about Musk, Horseford cried out to Mike.
“Elon Musk and his hackers don't know any shit about running the home program,” he added.
When it was his turn on the podium, Jackson claimed he and his fellow Democrats had encountered the existence of “brutal” police in the building, and had a “interrogation” with them, but footage shows officers simply standing at the entrance.
Rep. Jill Tokuda (d-hi) also used blasphemy to convey her point, yelling, “Take your hand from our public housing and take your shitty hand out of this building.”
In response to the protest, a HUD spokesman told Breitbart News that the division “on average was about 20% occupancy under the previous administration.”
“It was a taxpayer-funded holiday, but in essence there was no anger or accountability. Not only is the department back to work now, but it also makes sure that taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and effectively by rural, tribal and urban communities.”
