Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) has introduced a resolution to fire each U.S. District Judge James Boasberg.
The move comes as President Trump is seeking Boasburg's bounce each, and the administration claims his ruling blocks his ruling from calling out the alien enemy law of 1798 and prevents immigrants from swiftly deporting them.
Supreme Court Justice John Roberts pushed back that statement Tuesday, saying it was established that “perpet each is not an appropriate response to differences in opinion over a judicial decision.”
The Gill's Munitions Each article on Tuesday added that Boasberg “introduced accusations of “abusing power to advance political interests while obstructing the president's constitutional privilege and enforcement of the rule of law,” adding that he “snatched power from the administrative body and tried to hamper the will of Americans.”
“By making political decisions outside the scope of his judicial obligations, he compromised the fairness of our judicial system and created a constitutional crisis,” the article states.
Boasberg told the Trump administration that flights with Venezuelan immigrants that have already departed should turn around and return to the US, but the White House has been accused of ignoring the order by not running flights that have already departed.
White House press chief Karoline Leavitt said on social platform X that the judge's order “has no legal basis” as immigrants had already been removed from the United States, saying, “The federal courts generally have no jurisdiction over his authorities under diplomacy and will eliminate his core Article II powers to eliminate foreign intrusions from foreign invasions.”
In a post on X, Gill said the judge “has committed high crimes and misdemeanors and should be removed from his job,” but it is very unlikely that a resolution of each ammo will have that outcome.
Even if it was brought for a vote in the House and passed by a narrow House majority, a Senate conviction would require support from more than a dozen Democrats.
Still, Trump on Tuesday called out for Boasburg's bluff each.
“This judge should be bounced each like many bent judges I'm forced to appear before!!! We don't want vicious, violent, perceived criminals in our country, killers that many of them confused. Trump wrote about the society of truth.
The rare official statement from Roberts was an obvious response to Trump, and another call for the judge's bluff each.
“For over two centuries, it has been established that each is not an appropriate response to differences in opinion over judicial decisions. To that end, there is a normal appeal review process,” Roberts said.
Gill's bullet each article is part of a wave of bullet each articles submitted by House Republicans to judges who blocked Trump's actions, including those due to government efficiency (DOGE), appealing to tech billionaire Elon Musk for “judicial inclusiveness.”
Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.), Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.), and Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) are all major efforts by Merger each against other judges.
