Republican senators believe Harris should appear to discuss the investigation into Biden's cognitive abilities.

Hearing on Biden’s Alleged Cognitive Decline

This week, a member of former President Joe Biden’s administration testified before the House Oversight Committee, prompting discussions about whether former Vice President Kamala Harris should also appear. Senator Roger Marshall, a Republican from Kansas, expressed that it might be worthwhile to “take her behind the door” and assess what she knows.

The investigation, led by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer from Kentucky, focuses on allegations of Biden’s cognitive decline and claims that he used an autopen to sign documents during his presidency. Comer suggested that the likelihood of Harris being subpoenaed to testify is quite high.

Marshall, speaking to Fox News Digital, noted that while Harris should testify, he felt it unnecessary for her to address the public to confirm that Biden might have a neurodegenerative condition.

Notably, Marshall, a medical doctor with over 25 years of practice, detailed his observations of Biden’s behavior. He described the former president as having a “very fixed, flat face” and noted the way he walked—shuffly and stiffly, without the natural movement of someone who’s fully engaged.

Marshall cited a series of challenges during Biden’s presidency, claiming that these issues transformed weaknesses into national security threats. He referenced events such as the withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in American casualties, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and ongoing conflicts involving Hamas.

On the other hand, Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut expressed greater concern over economic factors, including inflation and the impacts of former President Trump’s tariffs, rather than the cognitive issues being raised about Biden.

Senator John Hoven, a Republican from North Dakota, defended the scrutiny of the administration, asserting that Americans desire transparency and accountability. He emphasized that anyone involved in the administration should explain their actions and decisions clearly.

Fox News Digital attempted to reach out for comments from both Biden and Harris but did not receive immediate replies.
