Republicans Back Trump Promoting Peace in Ukraine

Congressional Republicans supported President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance's efforts to promote peace in Ukraine and Russia despite Ukrainian leader Voldymi Zelensky's “disrespectful” attitude in the White House.

The oval office meeting with Zelensky soon collapsed, and Zelensky's militant Zelensky questioned the usefulness of American diplomacy.

Breitbart News London Editor Oliver JJ Lane wrote:

In response to talk about the importance of diplomacy, President Zelensky completely dismissed the usefulness of American influence, saying that President Obama, Trump's primary term, and that the US had achieved nothing through the talk. The rhetorical “What diplomacy, JD, are you talking? What does it mean?” Vice President Vance led him to the retort with a clear disgust: “I am talking about diplomacy that will end the destruction of your country.”

Vance said:

The President thinks it would be rude to you to come to an oval office and try to sue this in front of the American media. We should thank the President for trying to end this conflict.

Zelensky said: “Have you been to Ukraine? Please come once.”
