House Oversight Committee Receives Epstein Foundation Documents

The House Oversight Committee has recently obtained over 23,000 documents from the Epstein Foundation as part of a subpoena. In response, Democrats on the committee released several emails from the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which mention the president. They claim these documents “raise serious questions about his knowledge of the horrific crimes of Donald Trump and Epstein.”

However, keen observers have pointed out that the documents reveal a strategic change, indicating that Democrats could be trying to obscure vital context while aiming to tarnish President Trump’s image.

One document highlighted by the Democrats includes an email from April 2, 2011, between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, where Epstein remarked, “I want you to realize that the dog that didn’t bark is Trump.” He also noted, “I spent many hours with him at my house and his name never came up.” Maxwell seems to be pondering his statement.

Republicans on the Oversight Committee were quick to note that the victim’s name, Virginia Giuffre, was not redacted in the original documents provided to the full committee. They emphasized that Giuffre has repeatedly stated she has never seen any misconduct by President Trump. “Democrats are trying to create a false narrative to smear President Trump. Shame on them,” they asserted.

Giuffre reportedly took her own life in April, just a month after a car accident. Allegations suggest that Maxwell recruited her while Giuffre worked at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

In her memoir, Giuffre claimed that although Trump was an acquaintance of Epstein, he never engaged in any wrongdoing. She recalled their 2000 meeting, stating he couldn’t have been friendlier.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt commented that Democrats have “selectively leaked emails” to create a false narrative against Trump. She pointed out that the unnamed victim in these emails is, in fact, the late Virginia Giuffre, and stressed that Trump has denied any involvement in wrongdoing, claiming he “could not have been friendlier” in their interactions.

Levitt also highlighted that Trump expelled Epstein from his club decades ago for making female employees uncomfortable. She termed the ongoing stories as part of a “malicious effort to distract” from Trump’s notable achievements.

Additionally, other emails shared by the Democrats include exchanges between Epstein and the author Michael Wolff, who has been openly critical of Trump, and whom the White House claims is filled with inaccuracies.

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) did not provide a comment when approached for feedback.
