Republicans will ‘rue the day’ they confirm Trump FBI pick Kash Patel, Democrats say

A powerful Senate Judiciary Committee Democrat said GOP counterparts will be calling for the final vote on Thursday afternoon and “the day” FBI director candidate Kash Patel, who is scheduled to be approved. He insisted.

Durbin and the committee's Democrats alleged that they had claimed that Patel had already ordered the end with the FBI at the beginning of the month and had lied during the confirmation hearing about it.

They said the “very reliable” whistleblower report “personally directs ongoing purges of FBI employees prior to the role's Senate confirmation.”

However, representatives of Patel's nomination efforts have denied the charges firmly and pushed back Durbin's claim that Patel was involved.

Instructions to begin termination of some FBI employees and identify Hamas cases for internal reviews with all current and previous bureau staff assigned on January 6th have been confirmed by Patel last month. The day after, FBI Director Brian Driscoll was informed.

Democrats pointed out the fact that Patel has knowledge during the hearing about the planned fire of those involved in investigations involving former President Donald Trump.

According to officials from Patel's senior transition team, the candidate left the capital on the night of the hearing and returned to Las Vegas, where he “waited for the process to play.”

“Patel has gone through the confirmation process and everything he has done since his appointment has surpassed the committee,” officials said in an interview with Fox News Digital earlier this month. “And otherwise there's no mistake.”

In addition to returning to Las Vegas, Patel spent time hunting from Washington, officials said they were providing photographic evidence of Patel's activities.
