A group of supporters for Charlie Kirk is asking Starbucks to pay tribute to the late conservative activist by adding his specific tea orders to menus across the country. The campaign, titled “Get Charlie Kirk Starbucks Orders on All Starbucks Menu,” began on change.org on September 14th.
In their petition, the organizers expressed that Kirk’s murder had left many feeling “heartbroken, suffered, and completely devastated.” Just hours before his tragic death, Kirk shared a message reflecting on the ups and downs of life with restaurant leaders.
“To honor Charlie Kirk’s legacy, I, along with those who sign this petition, request that Starbucks create items called ‘Kirk Special’ or ‘Charlie Kirk’ to feature his orders,” the petition continues.
As of September 17th, the petition had garnered 61 signatures, alongside some comments expressing support.
One supporter shared, “I am signed in honor of Charlie Kirk. May his legacy of courage and love for this country inspire others.” Another remarked, “I think it’s important to remember Charlie’s legacy.”
Interestingly, Kirk’s favorite Starbucks drink—a mint tea with honey—gained attention after his death, especially since two cups were seen close to him during the incident.
A video resurfaced from Turning Point USA where Kirk explained his choice of beverage. He noted that he typically drinks it to avoid losing his voice, saying, “I literally drink this for one reason… Mantesty tea with two honey.” He even mentioned consuming several of these teas a day.
Fox News Digital reached out to Starbucks for further information, but there was no response at the time. The petition has stirred discussions on platforms like TikTok, where some customers reported being asked to change the name when ordering, citing a lack of respect for the political implications.
In response, Starbucks clarified that there isn’t a policy preventing the name “Charlie Kirk” from being written on cups, expressing a desire to understand the situation that occurred in the stores.
