The angel is back.
Demi Moore, 62, appeared on the “Drew Barrymore Show” this week to chat about the 2003 film “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.”
Both stars reminisced about the sequel, but Moore shared a particular concern during filming.
“All I can remember is asking them not to shoot me from behind,” she said, referring to her well-known bikini scene. “I have no idea why that was such a big deal for me.”
She also mentioned that she had less than a month to prepare for the role.
“I got a call to start filming in three and a half weeks,” Moore remembered. “It didn’t really leave me time to think too much about my appearance, which was probably a blessing.”
Barrymore expressed her disbelief over how they managed to pull it all together in just three weeks. “No one can look their best with that kind of notice,” she exclaimed. “It’s impressive you made it work.”
Moore shared that “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” marked her return to film after a break to be with her daughters, who range from 31 to 36 years old.
“I chose to step back to spend time with them,” Moore said. “Eventually, they encouraged me to take the role, insisting they loved the first film and thought I should be in it.”
Now, two decades later, Moore reflected on how time feels both endless and fleeting. “Doesn’t it feel like ages ago yet also just a moment?” she mused.
She has previously discussed her iconic bikini scene with Interview magazine, noting the personal struggle she faced regarding her identity after the film’s release.
“There’s been a lot of talk about that scene and I often felt… out of place,” she admitted. “I didn’t feel like I was 20 or even 30 anymore, and I wasn’t perceived as a mother either.”
Moore played Madison in “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.” Alongside her, Barrymore, Lucy Liu, 56, and Cameron Diaz, 52, portrayed the three main angels. John Forsythe, who passed away in 2010, lent his voice to Charlie, just as he did in the original series and the first film.
