Residents Tell Trump to Arrest Chicago Mayor if He Tries to Stop Deportations

At a City Council meeting this week, residents of the sanctuary city of Chicago, Illinois, urged President-elect Donald Trump and border czar Thomas Homan to call Mayor Brandon Johnson to stop his plan to deport undocumented immigrants. demanded that he be arrested.

Shortly after Trump won last month, Johnson said He said he would “not give in” to the president-elect's plan to carry out the largest deportation program in American history. Since then, Prime Minister Johnson has proposed a $300 million property tax hike to raise more money for newly arrived immigrants.

At Monday's City Council meeting, residents called on Trump and Homan to arrest Johnson if he interferes with the detention of illegal aliens in Chicago.

“So, Brandon, you guys and the Democratic mayors and Democratic governors here are going to talk about cashing in on these illegals, right? Everybody sit there and say Trump came here. I said I'm not going to let them take illegal aliens,” Daniel Carter said.

We have a billion dollar deficit and you spent half of it on illegal activities. You campaigned not to raise property taxes…and now we're here, and you were going to raise taxes by $300 million, and they shut it down, and now you… It came back asking for $150 million. [Emphasis added]

See, this is what we want right now. Some people may say that they want to borrow money, so they don't mind going to jail to do so. Trump, Tom Homan, take this as an example. [slur]. We know what we can do to help you, so come here. We want a forensic audit. [Emphasis added]

Similarly, a woman who identified herself as Ms. Florence accused Mr. Johnson of being unusually focused on protecting illegal aliens from deportation when he is “doing nothing for the American people.”

“We are the ones who pay your salaries, your salaries, and yet you want to ignore us as if we don't exist,” she said. “Well, standing up here for illegals carries a 10-year prison sentence, so you won't be able to run in the next election.”

“You're not above the law,” said another resident, David Mason, regarding Johnson's proposal to prevent a future Trump administration from deporting undocumented Chicago residents.

“Here we are with another property tax increase in an attempt to foist valuable illegal immigrant housing onto the homeless,” Mason said. “You told President Trump you wouldn't blink. Well, neither are we. You're not above the law. And wait until we pull your trump card.”

Under President Joe Biden's watch, tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants are flooding into Chicago, and city officials are spending millions of taxpayer dollars caring for them.

According to a recent report, Chicago police have arrested more than 30 members of the Torren de Aragua gang in the past two years, but thanks to an Illinois law that abolished cash bail and Chicago's sanctuary policy, they It was revealed that he had been released back onto the street.
