Police say it's “one of the best-selling pizzas.”
German police raided a popular pizzeria in Düsseldorf on Monday for allegedly offering cocaine as a side dish.
Local police launched an investigation into the restaurant after a food inspector tipped off the authorities, the BBC reported, citing Detective Chief Inspector Michael Graf von Moltke.
Police arrested the pizza shop manager, 36, at the apartment. When police arrived, the manager threw the bag of drugs out the window, and it “fell into the arms of the officer” below.

Officers said they found more than 3 pounds of cocaine, about 400 grams of marijuana and nearly $290,000 worth.

The manager was later released and began selling the popular pizza again, police said.

Further raids on the restaurant led German authorities to bust a drug ring around the city of Düsseldorf. Officers discovered two cannabis farms and seized approximately 360 plants. Weapons, cash and luxury watches were also seized.

As a result of the investigation, the homes and businesses of more than a dozen suspects were also searched.
Three people were arrested, including a 22-year-old man suspected of leading the operation.
