WWE Crown Jewel Delights Fans in Perth

WWE fans in Perth, Australia, were treated to an exciting night filled with classic matches at the recent Crown Jewel event.

One standout match featured John Cena facing AJ Styles for what could be their last showdown. Both legends, whose careers are winding down, delivered a thrilling performance as they stepped into the ring.

The atmosphere was electric, almost like a festival of pro wrestling where icons really pushed their limits.

In a dramatic sequence, Cena attempted to secure a quick victory using his signature Attitude Adjustment, but Styles managed to weather the storm. The two veterans showcased an arsenal of moves, with Cena executing the Skull Crushing Finale and Styles countering with a Torture Luck and a Scorpion Death Drop. As they grappled, the crowd erupted in chants of “Fight Forever,” embodying the energy shared between the performers.

Neither wrestler seemed to gain a decisive advantage as they traded blows. Styles made a daring attempt to finish the match with a Phenomenal Forearm, but Cena responded by pulling Styles into the ring’s center, honoring the late Bray Wyatt with Sister Abigail’s moves. Despite Cena’s efforts, Styles kicked out at two, keeping the match alive.

As the match carried on, both wrestlers emptied their tanks, with fans clearly unwilling to see it end. A spectacular moment came when Cena attempted an Avalanche Attitude Adjustment, but Styles countered and pushed him off. Ultimately, Cena secured the victory after hitting a Tombstone Piledriver followed by another Attitude Adjustment.

“This is why we all fell in love with pro wrestling,” remarked WWE broadcaster Michael Cole.

Cena, who has only a few matches left before retirement, is set to have his final bout on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington.

The evening also witnessed the crowning of new champions. Seth Rollins, under immense pressure, aimed to defeat Cody Rhodes alone, without the backing of his team. With a history of triumphing over Rollins, Rhodes sought a fourth consecutive win.

The dynamic between the two wrestlers brought intense action. Rollins, frustrated, focused on Rhodes’s vulnerable back and shoulders. As tensions rose, high-risk moves came to the forefront. While attempting a top-rope maneuver, Rollins delivered a headbutt but couldn’t secure the win. In a surprising twist, he used a Rolex watch—a gift from Rhodes—to strike his opponent, ultimately landing a Stomp for the victory.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship showcased the talents of Stephanie Vaquel and Tiffany Stratton. Their match was a gripping encounter, with Vaquel ultimately claiming victory with a stunning 450 corkscrew maneuver that left the crowd roaring.

The night included a notable moment when “The Star-Spangled Banner” received an unexpected response from the audience, creating a bit of a stir during the event.

Roman Reigns, in his match against Bronson Reed, faced challenges not only from Reed but also from his complicated relationship with his family. Despite his wish for them to stay out of the match, Jey and Jimmy Uso provided their support. The match escalated, leading to a decisive win for Reed in front of his home crowd.

Additionally, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, putting aside their differences, showcased teamwork against Asuka and Kairi Sane’s Kabuki Warriors. After a back-and-forth battle, Sky executed a breathtaking over-the-moonsault to secure victory.

Crown Jewel proved to be a memorable night for fans and wrestlers alike, filled with unexpected twists and powerful performances that left everyone buzzing.
