Revealed Emails Challenge Fauci’s Statement That He Did Not Request Staff To Delete Emails

Fauci’s Emails Raise Eyebrows Amid Ongoing Investigations

Former White House medical advisor Anthony Fauci reportedly instructed federal officials to delete emails, casting doubt on his previous testimony that he would never advise staff to bypass federal record-keeping laws.

On February 2, 2020, Fauci sent an email to Francis Collins, the then National Institute of Health Superintendent, urging him to delete the message after reading it. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky shared this email on social media recently.

The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs has been scrutinizing the origins of Covid-19 for several years now.

As of now, Fauci has not responded to requests for comments.

The email thread involved Collins and Jeremy Farrar, the former trust director, discussing concerns about public discourse surrounding the virus’s origins. Fauci and his team felt it was crucial to manage these debates, especially in relation to the World Health Organization (WHO).

In an urgent tone, Fauci noted, “Like all of us, I don’t know how this has evolved, but given the concerns of many and the potential for misinformation spreading on social media, it’s essential we act quickly.”

New revelations point towards Fauci’s relationships with his long-time NIH colleagues and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which has been controversial amid the pandemic.

In a shared email by Paul, Fauci also asked Collins to delete another message where he critiqued Mike Ryan and an official named Bernhard for their slow responses in managing the situation.

Fauci remarked that while both Ryan and Bernhard were competent individuals, they tended to move slowly, particularly when avoiding upsetting anyone.

Testimony from a congressional subcommittee investigating the pandemic noted that Fauci responded negatively to claims that he tried to obstruct the Freedom of Information Act.

In another email from April 2020, Fauci expressed frustrations about Paul’s critiques regarding mortality rates in New York, labeling those comments as “nonsense” and reiterating his request to delete the correspondence afterward.

Concerns have arisen about potential conspiracies within Fauci’s circle, particularly regarding the retention of emails since 2023. This included revelations that his senior advisor, David Morens, aimed to evade the Freedom of Information Act in communications with Peter Daszak, who was linked to the Wuhan lab.

In his congressional testimony, Morens described a communication hierarchy within Fauci’s office, referring to it as a “back channel.”

In 2024, Fauci distanced himself from Morens, despite their long-standing association. Investigators have noted peculiar email practices, including replacing letters with special characters within sensitive terms to potentially obstruct FOIA requests related to Covid origins.

FBI director Kash Patel mentioned in a podcast that they are investigating calls connected to Fauci regarding the origins of Covid, working alongside Paul. Additionally, National Intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard stated her office is looking into possible U.S. ties to the Wuhan lab leaks.
