Revealed: Gavin Newsom's surprising connections to the Chinese mafia

California Governor Gavin Newsom has faced significant backlash for his stringent Covid-19 lockdowns and progressive stances on issues like abortion and immigration. However, there’s more to his controversial reputation, particularly his connections to China.

Recently, in a conversation with journalist Peter Schweiser, details emerged regarding Newsom’s ties to Chinese organized crime. Schweiser highlighted how Newsom navigates these connections, particularly in light of the ongoing fentanyl crisis in the U.S., which has notably affected California.

For instance, during a visit to China in October 2023, Newsom was criticized for not addressing the opioid crisis. Schweiser pointed out that this refusal to confront drug precursors may stem from Newsom’s longstanding relationships with Chinese mafia figures.

Schweiser elaborated that when Newsom served as San Francisco’s mayor, he appointed a significant figure in the Chinese organized crime world to lead economic development in Chinatown, revealing deeper issues of corruption and complicity.

Moreover, Newsom’s connections extend to individuals with criminal backgrounds linked to organized crime in China, which raises serious ethical concerns. He also facilitated investments in San Francisco from entities associated with this criminal network, which, in Schweiser’s view, is alarming and suggests a pattern of neglect towards public safety.

“This is more than just ordinary corruption; it poses real dangers to Americans’ lives,” Schweiser asserted. The conversation shed light on a troubling aspect of Newsom’s political career, one that may have grave implications for both California and the nation as a whole.
