Independent Robert F. Kennedy will be eligible to participate in June’s presidential debate if he meets certain requirements that former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden easily meet.
To participate in the June 27 CNN debate, candidates must meet several requirements. First, they must “appear on enough state ballots to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold,” the network said. Note.

Second, candidates must receive at least 15 percent in four national polls recognized by CNN. Respondents to these polls are more likely to be voters or registered voters.
CNN points out:
Polls that meet these criteria include: CNN, ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, Marquette University School of Law, Monmouth University, NBC News, New York Times/Siena College, NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist College, Quinnipiac University, Wall・Street Journal and Washington Post
Other third-party candidates, including the Green Party’s Jill Stein and independent Cornel West, are also eligible, but only Kennedy has a realistic chance. As of Thursday, the RealClearPolling average showed that President Trump Registered Biden won 41.5%, followed by Biden with 38.8% and Kennedy with 10.8%. Mr. West and Mr. Stein averaged about 2%.
