RFK Jr pledges to make sure kids get ‘real food,’ not ‘poison’

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said more than half a dozen bans. Synthetic food dyes It’s just the beginning as he works to tackle America’s chronic health crisis.

The FDA and HHS will begin a process to revoke approval for two synthetic food colours (Citrus Red No. 2 and Orange B) in the coming months.

The FDA is quickly tracking reviews of other natural alternatives to synthetic food dyes, such as butterfly pea flower extracts. According to the press release From HHS.

RFK Jr. told Fox News host Jesse Watters that the Trump administration is working to give children “real food again.”

“We have the highest burden of chronic diseases in every country in the world. When my uncle was president, 3% of Americans had chronic diseases. Today, that’s 60%,” he said. “74% of our children are not eligible for military service. We have just a spiral birth rate.”

“Today, we use Froot loop chemicals that are banned in almost every country in the world. So when you buy today’s Froot loop in Canada, it’s made of vegetable dyes. When you buy here in the US, it’s made of petroleum synthesis,” explained RFK Jr.

He added that American consumers should be aware of the ingredients being added to their food and the potential health risks they may pose.
