Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Shares Super Bowl Snack Choice

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently opened up about his favorite Super Bowl treat ahead of the much-anticipated game.

For many across the country, this day often becomes an excuse to indulge in fried and junk foods. Still, it’s interesting—he leads the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative but opts for something a bit surprising.

His choice? Yogurt.

“I’m a carnivore, so I really just eat meat and fermented foods, and honestly, I’m quite happy with that,” Kennedy mentioned, sporting a smile during his appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Briefing.” He added, “I think I’ll probably eat some yogurt.”

Fermentation, by the way, involves yeast and bacteria creating organic acids that help preserve foods like yogurt and kimchi.

Kennedy expressed, somewhat hesitantly, “People can eat what they want. Sure, go for buffalo wings, but just check the ingredients. If it has a ton of seed oil, corn syrup, or artificial flavors, maybe it’s better to skip it.” He continued, “There are healthier options available. You don’t have to completely deprive yourself, but you should be cautious.”

While Kennedy seems concerned about typical Super Bowl snacks, he noted a positive aspect regarding the year’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) campaign, particularly due to Mike Tyson’s recent commentary on obesity.

“I think this is the most significant ad in Super Bowl history because obesity is truly a crisis,” Kennedy asserted. “A staggering thirty-eight percent of American teens are dealing with diabetes or pre-diabetes, which has major implications for our country.”

As a nephew of President John F. Kennedy, he is known for his distinct eating preferences, which steer clear of junk and processed foods.

During his 2024 campaign, he even made headlines when he picked up a dead bear cub from the roadside, planning to keep it in his refrigerator for later enjoyment. However, after some schedule changes, he humorously decided to leave the bear in Central Park, making it appear as if it had met an unfortunate end due to a bicycle accident.

Kennedy also stirred up some controversy years ago when he was accused of transporting a dead whale’s head on his car after a swim in the ‘90s. A photo emerged showing him proudly dining on what he claimed was a goat carcass.

Interestingly, he has previously shown surprise regarding then-President Trump’s health, given Trump’s fondness for fast food. After Trump’s 2024 victory, a photo captured Kennedy looking dismayed while holding a Big Mac alongside then-President-elect House Speaker Mike Johnson, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump Jr.

“This is the president,” Kennedy remarked. “He had the most disordered eating habits last month.” He observed, “The intriguing part about him is that he enjoys such unhealthy food, like McDonald’s and Diet Coke. He seems to have the constitution of a god.”

Kennedy added, “Honestly, I don’t know how he’s still going.”

As for this year’s Super Bowl, it will feature a matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. ET.
