Former President Donald Trump and independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. discussed vaccines, Joe Biden and Trump’s prospects in the November election during a private, video-recorded phone conversation.
A video was released Tuesday morning of RFK Jr. standing in his hotel room talking to Trump on speakerphone, but Kennedy says very little in the footage.
The video doesn’t say what “that” is, but since it went viral, some on social media have speculated that President Trump and RFK may have previously discussed some kind of alliance.
In the first 45 seconds or so of the 1 minute 40 second video, Trump is talking about childhood vaccinations, specifically combination vaccines, and judging by his comments, he seems concerned about the amount and effectiveness of synthetic chemicals being injected into America’s babies and young children.
Trump argued that the vaccines purport to address “38” diseases but actually offer little to no protection against infectious diseases. “They don’t work,” he said.
Even worse, Trump argued, vaccinations can sometimes be harmful. Babies injected with chemicals go from seemingly “good for horses” to suddenly, dramatically changing, Trump said. “I’ve seen it so many times.”
Trump insisted he has always preferred “small doses” rather than these mass vaccinations.
After steering the conversation away from getting vaccinated, Trump shared some details with RFK Jr. about his recent phone call with Biden. On Saturday night, hours after Trump was shot and nearly killed at a rally in Pennsylvania, Biden called Trump and wished him the best.
According to Trump, Biden was surprised that Trump was able to turn his head enough to avoid a fatal blow to the head. “How did you choose to move to the right?” Biden reportedly asked Trump.
Trump called the call “very good,” but argued that Biden has little chance of winning the November election. “We will win. We will win,” Trump repeated, “and we’re way ahead of Biden.”
But just before this point in the conversation, Trump told RFK Jr., “I’d love for you to do that. I think that would be a very good thing for you and a great thing.”
The video does not reveal what “it” is, but since the video went viral, Several Some on social media have speculated that Trump and RFK Jr. may have previously discussed some sort of alliance, given that Trump said in the video that his relationship with RFK Jr. has been going on “for a long time.”
The Blaze News reached out to the Trump campaign and RFK Jr.’s campaign for comment but did not receive a response.
After the video of the conversation was leaked, RFK Jr. released a statement on social media suggesting the video was authentic and apologized for releasing it.
“I was recording with our in-house videographer when President Trump called me. I should have instructed the videographer to stop recording immediately,” he wrote. X Around 9am on Tuesday.
“We deeply regret that such a post was made and offer our apologies to the President.”
The call between the two presidential candidates came on the heels of news that RFK Jr. would receive Secret Service protection. Biden has reportedly denied him five previous times, but Trump has been adamant in his push for RFK Jr. to receive Secret Service protection following Saturday’s assassination attempt.
