RGIII Mocked for Unfortunate Comment During Ole Miss-LSU Game

Trying really hard is a commonly admired trait. Unless you’re a sports broadcaster. Then it could really backfire on you.

So did former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III on Saturday night.

During Ole Miss’s eventual comeback against LSU, Griffin was looking for a dramatic analogy for the Rebels shutting down an LSU player and came up with this crazy idea.

“They were going to pick him up and crucify him as if he were Jesus.”

Because of this, Griffin was thoroughly and justifiably ridiculed by X.

It is unlikely that Mr. Griffin will be forced to apologize. It’s not like he offended someone like Leah Thomas, whom the left cares about.
