Braunwyn Windham-Burke is taking Ozempic and feeling “amazing.”
“Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Revealed to Us Weekly She plans to move to Nashville in 2023, but on Saturday she began taking medication for type 2 diabetes in an effort to lose weight. She and her partner, Jen Spinner, have been going strong and have never looked back.
But while the reality TV star is enjoying every minute of her Ozempic-enhanced physique, her partner, who she became engaged to in July last year, admitted he’s not too happy about the impact it’s had on their lifestyle.
“When we first started dating, she cooked dinner every night because I didn’t cook or anything,” Spinner joked.
“I don’t want to cook it because I can’t eat it! Eat it yourself!” Windham Burke jokingly retorted.
The 46-year-old former reality TV star also explained why she felt she needed help losing weight.
“The food is different. There’s Loveless Cafe, biscuits, fried chicken. I’m a person with very little self-control,” she said. “I’ve gained 20 pounds.”
Windham-Burke isn’t the first Bravo star to admit to using weight-loss drugs to slim down her waistline.
In fact, “RHOC” star Emily Simpson said in June 2023 that she used Ozempic before undergoing liposuction and breast reduction surgery.
But her experience appears to have been more difficult than that of Windham-Burke.
“I didn’t like feeling lethargic or lacking energy, which is hard with three small kids,” Simpson said, “but it did fill me up, and for me it felt refreshing.”
“RHONJ” stars Jennifer Fessler, Margaret Josephs and Dolores Cantina, as well as “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” OG Heather Gay, have also come clean about their use of Ozempic.
Meanwhile, Melissa Gorga recently told Sherri Shepherd that she’s the “only person” among the “RHONJ” cast who doesn’t take diabetes medication.
“I train really hard,” says the 45-year-old mother of three. “Everything is different for everyone, but I don’t do that.”
