Ric Flair criticizes Luka Doncic again for his hamstring injury and missing the playoffs

Wrestling icon Ric Flair recently took a jab at NBA star Luka Doncic, who sat out Monday’s Game 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a hamstring injury. Flair didn’t hold back during an interview, expressing his thoughts on Doncic’s situation.

“I’m not trying to be harsh on Luka,” Flair mentioned, adding, “I’m a big Lakers fan. I’m not sure about the full extent of the injury, but my initial reaction… it’s similar to what I said about the 49ers quarterback a few years back—’Get back in the game, dude.'” He shared his personal experience, stating that he’s had his fair share of injuries, including cortisone shots and a broken ankle. Due to this, he admitted he finds it hard to empathize with hamstring problems, yet he acknowledged that players have to think about their long-term health.

Flair’s own career has been marked by his remarkable recovery from injuries. After surviving a plane crash in 1975, which left him with significant hip injuries, many thought he would never wrestle again. Still, he went on to have an illustrious career. He also faced injuries while working with TNA and even mentioned being struck by lightning in 2016.

Last week, Flair suggested the Lakers might want to consider trading Doncic if he couldn’t bounce back. It’s worth noting that Doncic has missed not only the last five regular season games but also every playoff contest due to the same hamstring issue.
