Rick Harrison from 'Pawn Stars' Responds to Medical Bill Claims About His Son

Tension Between “Pawn Stars” Stars Over Medical Bills

Rick Harrison, known from “Pawn Stars,” wants to resolve medical expenses privately with his son Corey following a motorcycle accident that prompted a GoFundMe campaign.

The conflict reportedly began when Corey’s friend, Aron Chambers, initiated crowdfunding to help cover the medical costs after Corey was injured in a motorcycle crash in Tulum, Mexico, just days before Rick’s wedding. Rick expressed that he had a different view on how these bills were being handled and prefers to manage the situation without media involvement.

“Corey and I will work this out by talking to each other and not the media,” he told the outlet, adding that while he appreciates the support, the focus should be on Corey’s recovery right now.

Corey shared that he sustained 11 fractured ribs, a concussion, and facial injuries from the accident, with Chambers labeling the situation as “near-fatal.” They were seeking $16,000 as part of a supposed “race to save his life.”

Corey mentioned that he drained his bank account for treatment and accumulated debt from friends and family who loaned him money for his care. Rick, addressing the situation, stated he believed he had settled all of Corey’s medical costs well before the GoFundMe was created.

He also noted that while it would be nice to be reimbursed, “there is no repayment schedule in place.”

In response, Corey remarked, “If he decided I don’t have to pay him back the money, then happy birthday to me,” hinting that based on their relationship, he doubted that was the intention.

The GoFundMe page indicated that Corey needed three life-saving surgeries after complications arose, which led him to leave the hospital early due to the expensive care costs. At the time of writing, over $13,500 had been raised.
