Ricki Lake is determined to rebuild her dream home.

The “Hairspray” actress vowed not to sell her Malibu property with husband Ross Burningham after their home was destroyed in the Palisades fire earlier this month.

The 56-year-old revealed it took her more than seven years to build her home from scratch and she plans to create “something just as magical” in the future.

“My home in Malibu has been a sanctuary and home to many friends and loved ones. We've had too many gatherings to count. There are endless areas on the property to hang out, dance, and play. Yes,” she wrote on Instagram on Monday. “It’s exhausting and cringing to think about how to do it all over again right now…but I’ll do it.”

Lake was staying at a friend's guesthouse over the weekend and explained that her life was “feeling really, really weird right now.”

“The water is almost full and I feel numb,” she said in the video. “I can't feel anything. I can only describe what we're going through.”

“My home in Malibu has been a sanctuary and a home base for so many friends and loved ones. We've had so many gatherings I've lost count. There are endless areas on the property to hang, dance, and play. Now I'm exhausted and numb trying to wrap my head around how I'm going to do it all over again…but I'll do it. ”
