Rickie Fowler had a tough third round at the Players Championship on Saturday. Part of that was due to a brief encounter with someone near the teeing area near the 16th hole at TPC Sawgrass.
The problem arose when Fowler heard someone making noises before retreating from the teeing ground.
So Fowler’s caddy, Ricky Romano, told the man: “Teacher, please hold the camera for a moment…” [I] All cameras must be silent. ”
It is unclear whether the person was a fan or a licensed photographer at the convention in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Fowler, 35, then approached the tee again and his drive hit the fairway, but when he looked and pointed in the same direction, took a few steps toward the crowd and yelled, “It’s you!” He was clearly dissatisfied.
The caddy, Mr. Romano, reportedly scolded him again, saying, “Hey, hey, you just said something.”

Fowler didn’t speak to the media after the round, but he hit his next shot into the water on the hole for double bogey.
He ended up shooting a 76 on the day, going 4 over, and falling back down the leaderboard.
