BTE-USA Rifle Auction Supports Families of Fallen Warriors
A rifle from Battle Tested Equipment (BTE-USA) fetched an impressive $36,000 at the Boots and Ballgowns Gala held on November 8th in Scottsdale, Arizona. The proceeds from this auction will go towards funding educational scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled military personnel.
The mission of Folds of Honor is to:
Since 2007, we have offered life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military personnel. Now, we also extend our support to the families of America’s first responders, ensuring they know they are not forgotten.
George and Geo Urmston, the proprietors of BTE-USA, contributed a handcrafted match-grade rifle—specifically, a combat-tested Folds of Honor Tanker Carbine. This custom rifle features the Folds of Honor insignia, comes in a Pelican case adorned with the emblem, and includes a BTE-USA patch along with extra ammunition.
The sale of the BTE-USA rifle, priced at $36,000, is dedicated to scholarships for the families of those who have made sacrifices for our country.
In a conversation with BTE-USA’s George Urmston about this fundraiser, he expressed:
There’s really no better way to honor our brave service members than by providing their families with education and necessary resources. While it might not completely fill the void left by a lost parent, it helps affirm that their sacrifices were meaningful.
Urmston went on to say, “Many have benefited from the sacrifices of our military personnel; it’s critical to remember them. Supporting education about their legacy is one of the best ways to show our gratitude.”
