Erika Kirk to Appear at Turning Point USA Event
Erika Kirk will be participating alongside Vice Chancellor J.D. Vance on Wednesday during a Turning Point USA event at the Mississippi State University campus.
Her husband, Charlie Kirk, the group’s founder, was tragically killed last month during a debate at Utah Valley University.
Since the incident, Erika has made public appearances on two occasions: once at a memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, and again earlier this month when Charlie was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously.
This upcoming event marks her third visit to Oxford with Vance, who, along with his wife Usha, accompanied Erica and Charlie’s casket from Utah to Arizona following Charlie’s passing.
Riley Gaines shared her thoughts on Erica in a recent “Fox & Friends” segment. She expressed, “I’ve known her for quite a while, really. Most of us recognize her as Charlie’s wife. From what we saw at Charlie’s memorial, she is powerful and radiates strength, confidence, and a caring nature, all fueled by her faith. I’m excited to see her lead Turning Point at this moment, especially for my generation.”
While the current Turning Point USA tour is being held in Charlie’s memory, Gaines conveyed optimism about the future of the organization despite the circumstances that have led to this event. She mentioned, “It’s such a tragic situation, but I feel really hopeful—encouraged, even. Many younger folks from Generation Z are eager to know how they can get involved. Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight; I think it’s going to be fantastic.”
Admission to the event is free, but pre-registration is required, with students given priority. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Central Time, followed by security screenings. The formal program is set to kick off at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
