Riley Gaines Welcomes Baby Girl

Riley Gaines shared the joyful news of her first child’s arrival, a daughter named Margot, on Thursday night. She took to social media to announce this special moment, posting a heartfelt photo with her husband, Louis Barker, holding their newborn.

In her post, she expressed her overwhelming love, saying, “Nothing has prepared me for such love. God has blessed us incredibly. Welcome to the world, sweet Margot.”

During her pregnancy, Gaines showcased her strength by swimming 1.25 miles in the waters surrounding Alcatraz prison, alongside Navy SEALs and veterans, even while she was 31 weeks along.

She had previously announced her pregnancy during a Turning Point USA event in Texas back in June, amidst a discussion about trans-athletes in women’s sports. This came after comments made by Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, who referred to Gaines in an online exchange.

Reflecting on her journey, Gaines remarked, “The next generation that our little girl is about to join, that’s who you are fighting for.” She emphasized gratitude for support while encouraging others to keep pushing forward.
