Riley Green injured after fan throws phone at him during concert performance

A frustrated fan hurled a cell phone at Riley Green during a concert, causing a cut on his ear. This incident occurred during a performance at the Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Australia, and was captured in a social media video.

Green, visibly startled, momentarily halted the show and requested that the house lights be turned on to locate the culprit. With assistance from the audience, he identified the offenders and had them removed from the venue.

“This here? Get him out of here. Go on,” Green directed.

Once the disruptive fans were escorted out, Green seemed unaware of his injury at first, expressing his gratitude towards the remaining audience. “While I have your attention, I just want to say thank you all for being here tonight,” he remarked. Then, realizing he might be injured, he added, “Wait, am I bleeding? Guys, do you know how tough I am? Thankfully, it wasn’t an iPhone 12; that would have really hurt.”

Later, Green shared an update with fans on social media, noting he had received five stitches and posted a photo of his injuries.

Not long ago, Green discussed his preference for living in Alabama rather than relocating to Tennessee for his music career. He stated, “I know there are many reasons one might consider moving to Nashville, but it’s never crossed my mind. My farm in Alabama is my sanctuary, and it’s where I find inspiration for my songs.”

He elaborated, “Life there is much slower-paced.”

When he has downtime on the farm, Green tries to take it easy. “I aim to do as little as possible, but I still find time to get on the tractor and tidy things up. I enjoy having my animals and my dogs around to keep me company.”

In addition to his music career, Green is set to make his acting debut in the Yellowstone spinoff, The Marshalls, which features Luke Grimes. He mentioned to FOX News Digital at the film’s premiere that the experience of being on set was nerve-wracking, especially compared to performing live.

“Oh, I was more anxious. I’m used to the stage now, so that doesn’t faze me anymore. But stepping onto this film set was a whole different ballpark. I wasn’t in my comfort zone; I was the newcomer, and it was definitely a bit intimidating,” he said.
