They are called “casual survivalists” or “prepperites.” A phrase is now starting to emerge around the prep industry that highlights the rise of the “lifestyle prepper,” especially in American cities.

Unlike “Doomsday Preppers,” people classified as lifestyle preppers aren't building bunkers or living off-the-grid. They can't store leftovers long term and probably don't own a freeze dryer. But they are concerned about the possibility of future emergencies and don't trust government agencies to do more than give them beans and rice as supply chains continue to be disrupted.

“Essentially, these lifestyle preppers want to survive an apocalyptic situation,” said co-founder Jason Nelson. prepper all natural. “They don't just want to survive, they want to, in my words, 'survive.'

The biggest concern facing millions of Americans who have started stocking up on survival supplies is the upcoming presidential election. Regardless of who wins, many believe the losing side is likely to cause mass chaos, including through riots and even acts of domestic terrorism. The FBI has also warned of such a possibility.

A major disruption to the supply chain in major metropolitan areas could cause grocery stores to run at higher occupancy rates and empty shelves within hours. People who don't have enough food will become dependent on government agencies like FEMA for food supplies. This is what “lifestyle preppers” want to avoid by stocking up on high-quality, long-lasting foods rather than living on poor-quality survival foods for weeks or even months at a time. That's what I'm doing.

“The reason we launched Ribeye, New York Strip and Tenderloin is because we have personally been eating the 'beef crumble' provided by survival companies and have been trying to survive on it for a long time. I couldn't imagine that,” he said. Nelson. “I've been eating military food for 20 years, and it's far better than what passes for 'survival' food today.”

Being a “lifestyle prepper” means having well-made, nutritious food, water, and other necessities on hand in case of a “bug-eaten” situation. These people don't necessarily want to live off-grid, but they also don't want to be dependent on living within a system that collapses under the weight of world affairs.

“We want to make sure our beef doesn't end up in the closet in case of an emergency,” Nelson said. “People can certainly do that, but they can also break out the bag during other kinds of emergencies, like when a friend or relative comes over unexpectedly.”
