RNC allows 2024 GOP candidates to participate in any debates

Following consistent pressure from leading White House candidates to participate in outside debates, the Republican National Committee has imposed restrictions on 2024 candidates from participating in debates of their own choosing. All canceled.

CNN announced that a debate will be held at Drake University on January 10th before the Iowa caucuses, and a New Hampshire debate will be held at St. Anselm College on January 21st.

The network announced it would raise its debate eligibility limits to include a minimum 10% vote share for a candidate in three national polls and/or an Iowa poll that meet CNN's coverage standards.

In the case of New Hampshire, candidates must meet similar voting requirements as CNN, but there are likely to be many Granite State voters.

ABC News will host a debate on January 18th at the same location as CNN in New Hampshire.
