RNC Slams Biden Admin for Criticisms of Mail-in-Ballot Legal Challenges

The Republican National Committee (RNC) slammed the Biden campaign after it called on the RNC to drop a lawsuit over the election integrity of mail-in ballots in light of the RNC’s new messaging, calling the criticism nonsense and arguing that Democrats are “focused on dismantling election integrity safeguards.”

The Biden-Harris campaign has formally called on the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee to stop their “attacks” on mail-in voting, and is trying to paint Trump and the Republican Party as hypocrites by urging Republicans to do whatever it takes to count votes, even if they are early or mail-in votes.

“If Donald Trump is finally going to acknowledge that voting by mail is a great option available to voters in November, he should demand that the Republican National Committee and his MAGA allies drop all of the lawsuits happening across the country,” said Biden-Harris 2024 campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez. Said In a statement.

But the Republican National Committee has argued that the lawsuits over election integrity are legitimate and focus on the specific issue of counting ballots that arrived four days after Election Day and ballots that don’t have postmarks.

For example, the Republican National Committee, the Trump campaign, and the Republican Party of Nevada Lawsuit filed In Nevada, they are challenging the counting of mail-in ballots that arrived after Election Day but were not postmarked, arguing that Nevada law requires that mail-in ballots be postmarked on or before Election Day. Current Nevada law allows mail-in ballots that arrive up to four days after Election Day to be counted as long as they are postmarked on or before Election Day. According to a Republican press release, ballots can also be counted up to three days after Election Day if the postmark date “cannot be determined.”

“However, Nevada election officials No postmark “If you receive a mail-in ballot after Election Day, you will be violating the law,” the Republican National Committee said in a June 3 press release.

“Allowing unmarked ballots to be illegally counted undermines the integrity of our elections and voter confidence,” Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald said.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley also condemned Nevada’s practices, saying the state’s ballot receipt deadline “clearly violates federal law and undermines the integrity of Nevada’s elections.”

“Ballots that arrive days after Election Day should not be counted. The Republican National Committee and our partners are suing to ensure fair elections, support Nevada voters and oppose this unlawful scheme,” he said. Said.

Claire Zank of RNC Election Integrity Communications told Breitbart News exclusively, “Rather than repairing the disaster Biden created, Democrats are focused on dismantling election integrity guarantees.”

“President Trump has been clear that Republicans should vote in the lawful manner that is most advantageous to them. He has also been clear that the election must proceed securely so that those votes are properly counted,” Zank continued.

“These are simple concepts, but Democrats would love a chaotic system that leads to fraud,” she added.

Indeed, these lawsuits do nothing to diminish the Republican Party’s revamped message, Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump told Breitbart News while attending Turning Point USA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit (YWLS) in San Antonio, Texas, in June.

She said election integrity is the Republican National Committee’s top priority at this time.

“If you come to the RNC, the majority of the people working in that building right now are members of the protect election integrity team, and we’re doing a huge effort across the country. We’re looking for 100,000 volunteers for this election. We’re calling for volunteers at protectthevote.com. If you want to volunteer with us, please join us. We’re putting a lot of resources into it, because we can’t have a repeat of the 2020 election again. Frankly, without free, fair and transparent elections, nothing that we’re doing in this country means anything. So we’re really doing things very differently than we’ve ever done before,” she said, noting that the RNC has changed its messaging and is also considering “lawful ballot harvesting like never before.”

“We also want to encourage people to vote. Our messaging is a little different than previous polls. We know that Republicans traditionally prefer to vote on Election Day. What we’re asking for in this election is for people to vote early,” she said, urging Republican voters “cannot just let this happen.”

“Things happen in life, and if you wait until Election Day, you never know what’s going to happen. So we want to get this message across to people,” she said, acknowledging that many Republicans are “understandably reluctant” to the new message because it goes against what they’ve been hearing for years. But Trump made it clear that the RNC will do everything it can to ensure the integrity of the election and that Republicans will feel safe voting early. And maybe that’s where this particular lawsuit comes into play.

“I understand why people feel that way. What happened with postal voting in 2020 was terrible, but we’re working hard right now to make sure voter rolls across the country are cleaned up and that postal voting doesn’t result in ballots being sent to people who don’t live there. We’re doing everything we can to make sure people can vote with confidence,” she added.
