Robert De Niro could barely contain his sneer when asked for comment Thursday after former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 charges in a Manhattan business records trial.
variety Reports The actor was happy to jump into the fray, despite his infamous public humiliation outside court on Tuesday, with De Niro speaking on the carpet about the new film. Ezra admits He was happy with the outcome and believed Trump was “crazy.”
“I think justice has been served. This is only one part of the picture and I want to be very careful,” he initially said.
When asked if he thought it could affect the presidential election, De Niro reportedly replied, “I think so.”

“It should never have gotten to this point,” he continued. “I don’t want to talk about it, but I’m very angry. I have to say it. This is my country. This guy is trying to destroy it. That’s it. He’s crazy.”
The outlet further reported that when asked if he ever feared for his safety, De Niro admitted that he did: “If you think about it, I get it. It makes me more upset, but I have to be afraid of being threatened. That’s why I said please don’t threaten me.”
“People are fed up and they’re going to fight back. That’s not going to happen in this country,” De Niro concluded.
